What is very unclear from any description or instruction is that this truck can drive itself! Under the front wheels is a large round cap. It prevents the front wheels from touching the ground at all, so pushing it by hand feels a little silly because the front wheels do nothing, but you can. But take the cap off and there are hidden wheels inside! Put the truck down and watch it go. When it hits a wall it will back up, turn, then continue on. It's actually really cool! "Friction Powered" does not mean what the copy writer thinks it means.There is no remote. You don't need one.The lights are bright and focussed in beams rather than diffuse. Very pretty effect in the dark.The sounds are thankfully not too loud, but they are obnoxious. It really does sound like a noisy truck, complete with backup beeps and engine sounds, but it's muffled, stylized. or something, and pumped through a plastic truck. It's a little scary for my 2 year old currently. I'm sure with more exposure it will be fine.It's not the toy truck I thought I was buying, but maybe it's better.
