Review on Ultimate Ears Boom 2 Green Machine Wireless Mobile Bluetooth Speaker (Waterproof And Shockproof) (Renewed) by Tres Carmon

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Stereo pairing is a pain; Party mode is unpredictable.

I bought 4 of these hoping to be able to easily install stereo speakers anywhere or have them play around the whole garden with ease (stereo is not possible if 3 or more speakers are connected - crap). However, pairing any configuration other than a single speaker is challenging. Each speaker sounds very good for its size. But pairing for a stereo is random, and connecting others in party mode is even more unpredictable. I named my speakers A, B, C, and D in the Bluetooth settings, tested them, and labeled them on the devices themselves. However, in the software you cannot identify which speakers are used for " failed due to functionality. Very disappointing. I don't recommend them unless you're just looking for a single mono speaker. And mono is sooooo 1940s. They're like an old transistor radio but with better bass. no printed instructions. You have to go to the site for help, which is a royal pain. The company is trying to create a super cool image, but unfortunately they should put less effort into having a cool image and more effort into making their products work flawlessly. .Hopefully a firmware update can fix these shortcomings. If not, then I think they're just doorstops. Buyers be careful. By the way, I didn't test the waterproofness because I'm not a fan of swimming or going to the beach. a firmware update can fix these deficiencies. If not, then I think they're just doorstops.
