Review on πŸ’‘ Westinghouse Lighting 5160000 200 Watt Equivalent: Brilliant Illumination for Any Space by Jathan Louis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super bright yet compact enough to fit in our indoor light

My shed has 5 interior lights, a small one in each corner and a large one in the middle. The four corner lights are only rated for small 60 watt bulbs, while the large center light is rated for a 250 watt bulb. A few years ago we switched from incandescent lamps to energy-saving compact fluorescent lamps. now in the process of replacing our CFBs with LEDs. However, the barn's large light was a problem. I couldn't find a CFB with a brightness comparable to a 250 watt incandescent bulb that's also small enough to fit in our interior light. Even the less bright ones I found failed after about a year. The big lamp in the barn is very difficult to reach, so changing the bulb every year is very difficult. Needless to say I was thrilled when I found this LED bulb and read that it was approved for use in enclosed fixtures. Its A23 size makes it compact enough to easily fit in our fixture and it emits plenty of light in all directions. (It's the brightest "200-watt equivalent" I've ever used.) I'm more than happy to pay a pretty steep price for a bulb that will light up an entire barn and last for years.

Pros
  • Instantly turns on to full brightness and lasts an average of 25,000 hours. several years longer than normal lightbulbs
Cons
  • exorbitant price
