Awesome gloves good for me

These were awesome. I needed gloves for World's Toughest Mudder - a 24 hour obstacle race. It was held in the desert and I knew there would be lots of water. These were very comfortable, fit well, fairly easy to get on and keep my hands very warm. Great purchase for what I needed.

Pros
  • my daughter loves them
Cons
  • The gloves may not fit properly for every hand size and shape

Burrrrrrrrrrrrrr: my feedback

I bought these a couple months ago hoping they would do me well in the December surf, but my hands froze within two minutes of being in the water. You pay for what you get

Pros
  • I like this product!
Cons
  • The gloves may not be machine washable, requiring additional time for maintenance

Warm and dry! Nice set of gloves for surfing!

Warmer than expected! Slide right under wetsuit sleeves and keep relatively dry.no leak-in. Took these out in 49-52 degree water and 30-38 degree air temps. Perfect!

Pros
  • Awesome gloves for winter weather
Cons
  • The gloves may not provide enough ventilation, causing sweat and discomfort during use

I've had many pairs of these gloves. Unfortunately, they start to leak at the seams (bottom of your fingers where they connect to palm) after less than a year of use. And I am going out just a few times a month (or less) surfing in them.I have rebought them for a while, but after my most recent pair started leaking even sooner than the last I'm over it. Gonna pay more for a more durable glove. The 5mm is great though!

Pros
  • Perfect fit thanks
Cons
  • The gloves may not provide enough grip for certain water activities, such as surfing

Very Happy - my new review

I have hands on the smaller size for a 6ft tall man so i ordered the large thinking they would be a little big, turns out they fit me perfect so be aware that if you have large hands the large size gloves may be too small. Otherwise excellent quality especially for the price.

Pros
  • These gloves are perfect for me the price you can't beat. And they keep my hands warm will buy again.
Cons
  • The gloves may not be suitable for certain water activities, such as diving

Snow Substitute ? Yes!

Ohh man just what we needed. After having a hard time of wandering what gloves would work in the snow, to be water proof. Bought other and was a waist. Cold and they got wet. I got the idea to get scuba gloves , can't go wrong? Jet to try in snow. But over all warm and a nice snug. Make sure to move your hands or can cut your circulation a little.

Pros
  • Works
Cons
  • The gloves may be too bulky for some swimmers, hindering their mobility

Very thick & warm enough

I originally ordered this in a size Small, but that was too big so I exchanged for an X-Small. I have very small hand and have had better fitting gloves, but these will do. You lose dexterity in your hands, of course, because of how thick it is. Definitely not waterproof or water tight, but it keeps my hands warm enough for 40 degree water. They are easy to don on and off and don't stand out in appearance. They do provide the skin some protection from the elements/objects you encounter in the…

Pros
  • Great in 38 degree water. Fit as expected.
Cons
  • The gloves may not be durable enough for frequent or intense use

Very thick & warm enough

Perfect fit! Super comfortable! Very flexible for Great grip on the fingers & palm!Have used both gloves & they are all made so well! Thanks!

Pros
  • Works great
Cons
  • The gloves may cause itchiness or irritations on sensitive skin

Functionally perfect, some questions of durability

While I have not surfed water in the 40s yet, I did just surf 55 deg water with 30 deg air temps with wind. Not even a hint of cold with these 5 mm gloves. They fit perfect. I'm even able to work my GoPro.I am perplexed that the thread on one glove started unraveling after about 10 hours of use. I used a lighter to attempt to stop it, but continued the next session. Hopefully the seam is glued tight, but this may hint at a problem developing after more use. Just seems like a design flaw that…

Pros
  • used them in 63 degree water and they were pretty good
Cons
  • They do not keep your hands warm and let in a lot of water. Waste of money

Extremely affordable water gloves

These have worked well so far. They are really comfortable and a breeze to get on and off compared with my winter surf mittens.

Pros
  • These are great gloves at a fair price. Nice and warm and well constructed.
Cons
  • The gloves may not provide enough insulation in very cold water temperatures

Awesome gloves ! for my opinion

I was looking for gloves to extend my kayaking season trough the winter cold and first tried the NeoSport Wetsuits Premium Neoprene 7mm Five Finger Glove but I have BIG hands , usually wear a XL and the reviews mention you must get the next size up (XXL for me and when first tried them on they where way too tight ! 7mm neoprene is fairly thick making the fit tighter and also didn't like the texture on the palms so after a quick and painless return started looking for a glove on 5mm thickness…

Pros
  • Be careful with the sizing. Also, very bulky. That said they are as warm as advertised.
Cons
  • The gloves may develop wear and tear over time, reducing their effectiveness

sizing was good and I was able to get it layered under my Hyperflex full suit with out assistance from passerbys. 5 mm for warmth but not too bulky or slippery when taking off behind the peak. Good price too.

Pros
  • Perfect for diving in cold water (Bering sea, Alaska cold)
Cons
  • The gloves may not be suitable for individuals with allergies to neoprene or other materials

Decent disposable gloves

I liked the fit of these gloves and they kept me plenty warm for my first few dives. The problem was that after around 5 dives, the neoprene was crushed out and flattened causing the gloves to lose most of their insulating abilityGreat gloves if you only need them for a few dives

Pros
  • Great gloves, but very thick. 3mm might be better for most non-arctic use.
Cons
  • The 5mm thickness could cause discomfort or reduce tactile feedback while swimming

Not super warm best in my review

I was hoping that foam (neoprene) would insulate better than stuffing like in my ski gloves in really cold weather. After all, spray foam is a better home insulator than fiberglass. This order was an experiment to see if these would be good biking gloves or for walking the dogs. However, neoprene apparently has a fairly high coefficient of thermal conductivity and these did not work very well in my experiment. They did have pretty good dexterity and grip and work OK if the temperature is above…

Pros
  • Work well. Reasonably sturdy
Cons
  • The gloves may not be resistant to certain chemicals or pollutants in the water

Just What I Needed good for me

I bought these gloves for cold water use. They keep my hands very warm even when the water dips into the 30's for extended periods of time. I ordered these gloves in a large, they fit my hands perfectly. From the bottom of my palm to the tip of my index finger is 7 3/4 inches, and I would say if your hands are between 7 1/4 inches to 7 3/4 inches a Large is the right size for you.

Pros
  • good
Cons
  • The gloves may not be comfortable for extended periods of time

Hyperflex 5mm Access Gloves

The Hyperflex 5mm Access Gloves have come with me to every cold water surf destination in which I have traveled. Put to use on both the East and West coast of the U.S as well as the Southern Cone of South America, there gloves have proved to be extremely durable. I have had them for a little over three seasons without tears or holes in the seams. I would recommend the 5 finger set up until the water drops into the lower 40's or below. For anyone looking to enjoy the benefits of colder waters…

Pros
  • Great at keeping my hands warm in the frozen river.
Cons
  • The seem on the left glove split after 6 uses!
