It's 5/16 inch and not M8 as per FAQ
They are really nice as they should be for the price. I added an existing Ikea TV cabinet leg that was too short. Although the answers to questions stated several times that the screw is a metric M8, this is not the case. I ended up taking out the threaded inserts for the M8 and found the same dimensions as 5/16". But they are really nice.
