I create graphic novels, screenplays. and entertainment. Years ago I built a separate light table the size of a drafting table. I remember buying an acrylic sheet comparable in thickness to this new light box. But my light table was 6 inches thick and contained white lights and reflectors. Pro: Having said that. This new design is amazing. It has three settings. And I was really surprised by the brightness of the brightness that can be achieved. I bought A4 and although this size is fine for me for drawing and is really comfortable and easy to carry, I chose A3 which is the next bigger size. This gives me more workspace for the artwork I'm making. My son (20 years old) is an artist so I offered him A4 size as his drawings usually don't go beyond A4 size. Workplace. I'm expecting my new A3 tomorrow. and I'm happy about that. Cons: I don't care if the cable connector comes out of the board. I'm an engineer by trade so I'm concerned about the stress over time and prolonged use of the cable coming from the connector back shell. And if it breaks, I doubt it'll be easy to fix. This is the only complaint about this model. On the A3 I ordered, the plug is permanently connected to the circuit board. That's the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5. The LED lighting makes it a great tool for painting, design, 2D animation, etc. The light bar is a great concept. I love it. which is pretty obvious as I bought two of these in the space of two weeks. If my son refuses to use the smaller one I will keep it anyway due to its portability. when I want to go to a local college campus or coffee shop to put some ideas on paper.
