Who came up with this team, the genius! I have a regular colander for rinsing pasta and the like. To flush a pint of blackberries, I would typically use a bowl, tilt it and use my hand to keep the berries from falling out. (There have always been some who have committed suicide!) But this little strainer takes up little space and opens up to just the right size for a pint of berries, or if you're making a large container of strawberries you might have to make two batches. That's still better than whipping out a big screen for my money. It's well done. I have the impression that the material will remain flexible for a long time. It seems I've already washed mine in the dishwasher without hurting myself, although I don't see why you need that. A good rinse is probably enough. I can't find any fault with that.
