Review on 🔊 Black Yamaha NS-555 3-Way Tower Speaker with Bass Reflex (Each) by Somsak Saladang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Now a few words about the tweak: 1) Put on spikes 2) pasted inside sindepon 3) Changed the capacitors in the crossover. About everything in order: the spikes, as you know, the spikes are not included in the kit, but I did buy expensive ones, I took the M6-30 bolts, turned the tips, drilled holes in the supports and inserted the bolts, and in order not to scratch the parquet, I put it under them metal washers. Then everything is simple, I glued it inside with a sindepon and that’s it, now about the crossover: who doesn’t know in the cross there are the cheapest electrolytic capacitors, such can be found on cheap computer speakers, which I replaced with domestic K73-16 of the same denomination, I didn’t touch the rest. Connected via bi-wiring top 1.5 mm2, bottom 2.5 mm2. For a change, I also made a switch for the lower bass to turn off the lower speaker (I put a simple switch on the back, but this is so for myself). Well, in general, someone may need my review . For reference: I’m listening so far on an old PIONEER VSX-417 and on a PIONEER BDP-150 and SONY-CDP XE370 drive. thanks for your attention. I WANT TO ADD A REVIEW; I connected the bi-wiring cable top 2.5 and bottom 4.0 and noticed the sound became much more interesting, try experimenting with cables, it won’t get worse, and a note on the part of the sound, they write that it “sings badly”, don’t wait miracles right away, let them play 100 or better 200 hours and they will sing, personally I had one more nuance, maybe someone will be interested, I put home-made rubber pillows 20 mm thick under the spikes and stuck 10 coins on them and almost all the rumble disappeared and vibration, in short, it helped me a lot, try it. I have plans to change the internal wiring, I will add it as soon as I do it.

Pros
  • Gorgeous appearance, high quality workmanship, and of course impeccable (in my opinion) sound after the tweak (more on that in the comments).
Cons
  • No more, everything suits me already
