Review on Stanley STST16410 16 Inch Toolbox by Thong Lopez

Bought this to keep on my porch and to carry frequently used gardening tools. I envisioned a portable cart that would protect my tools from the rain and pop open in a jiffy when my hands are full of garden soil or plants with ominous names like "Dead Man's Fingers" and "Bleeding Love Lies." to be planted. (My last garden cart was an open bucket and all my stuff got wet.) This tool box looks lovely and has exactly the capacity I was looking for - enough for scissors, trowel, gloves, weed puller, garden tape and a can. bug spray. However, the "one-hand lid lock" does not work properly. It worked fine for the first few days, but after being dragged around the garden the lid has shifted and now you can't open it with one hand. Hand, won't close with one hand and sometimes won't close at all until you massage it like a little kid and ask the lid/latch to line up EXACTLY THAT. And while he never claimed it was waterproof, water still got into this thing, even when it was stored on the porch. My gardening gloves always get wet and there is a layer of moisture on the underside and on top of my tools. I am disappointed in this product but will give them the benefit of the doubt as my use (garden trolley) does not match their intended use (tool box).
