I use 2 of these with a wall outlet adapter such as the CyberPower GT300RC2 3-Way Wall Tap and a pair of iPhone chargers to create a powerful, low power night light for large dark hallways. They are bright enough that we rarely turn on the hall light. Ideally, they should face down to avoid irritating the eyes. They also work well during power outages when placed on a 20,000mAh cell phone battery and placed on a high shelf. They will light up the whole room. Not too bright, but better than candles
