I was a little tired when I bought them because many people said that they don't stick well to the wall. I bought them to hang hats in my room. For installation, I followed the advice of some other reviewers and cleaned the application surface (painted drywall) very well with a cleaning solution. I let the wall dry and then when gluing the hooks I press fairly hard and hold for 20-30 seconds to ensure full adhesion. I was hanging all my hats on the hooks within 15 minutes of installation (meaning I didn't wait 24 hours before using the hooks as some other reviewers have suggested). My room is about 55-70°F. It's been almost 72 hours and all the hooks/hats (7 of them) are still hanging. I'll follow up in the future if/when any of the hooks fall off.
