This item is amazing! It would take a $500 reader to rival what this thing can do! It's not just an OB2 reader. It has that ability, but it's so much more! This mainly affects the menu, OB2 or Volvo modules. If you go into the Volvo module menu, it can read information from literally any computer in your car! Like everything that happens. Mine even found that my door operator was broken, it literally even got into the computer that controls the door locks. And you can reset any code! I have a 2004 S80 t6 with a crazy computer system that was one of the worst ever made by Volvo. Nothing but constant problems with communication errors and parasitic battery drain and overheating of computer modules. That's the worst. Because of this, my car stood still for 4 years, even the dealer refused. Thanks to research, I made money again. I'm still developing some kinks, but it's working. But to be honest I never felt comfortable driving until I bought one and kept it in the glove box! I can park and reset errors in the computer modules while the engine is still running. It gives me so much peace. Also allows me to see if the errors are meaningless such as: B. intermittent communication errors, or fatal errors that require immediate service. To be honest I don't know how anyone would own a Volvo without one of them! If you spent money buying and maintaining a Volvo, spend the money buying one. Trust me, it will save you a lot more money in the long run! It will also help prevent you from getting robbed by mechanics! When it comes to Volvo, many mechanics are happy to swap parts unnecessarily or just lie about what's wrong. With it you can read codes, google the Volvo forums and find out what's really wrong with your car before stepping into a workshop! This is a must!
