Review on πŸš€ Maximize Performance with PaceSetter 70-1192 Black Exhaust Header by Jason Paige

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A good title for a fabricator/welder.

How to get started. comes with everything you need to install which is a plus. There are a few downsides though: - The oxygen sensor harness extension is just solid wires and butt connectors with shrink tubing to protect them. So don't expect a wiring harness to be plug and play. The welds on the outer primaries on the flange are very light and tactile. Easy to attach to the correct 1/4 bead with welding machine. - The internal welds between the primary and flange welds have swollen so much that the internal dimensions of the primary pipe are reduced to almost 1 inch and the paint grinder reopens them to about 1.4 inches. Pretty easy, takes about 1 hour. The supplied clamps are simple cheap exhaust clamps, personally I would have wished for better clamps for Y-manifold connections. I used 2" overlapping stainless steel exhaust band clamps ($15 extra). - The oxygen sensor connector is right in the middle of the transmission cooler lines if you have an AW4 automatic transmission. A little massage of the lines works well enough. The i- The icing on the cake is that the attachment must be done wrong as the Y-tube exit is angled to the ground and faces the passenger side so much that you either have to cut the Y-pipe and weld it together to attach the angle.(The YouTube built by Martin -Video demonstrates this quite well). Or you can heat the Y-tube and bend it to the right angle. If all of this sounds like it's out of your control, look for another title. If like me you live in California and require a legal CARB title, you might find it worth it This model is carburetor compatible and has a carburetor number plate welded to the header and Y-pipe in case you are interested. As mentioned earlier, the paint is designed to prevent rusting during transport/storage. I removed mine with paint stripper and painted with VHT ceramic paint which should add some durability. After working with them for a while I will update this review to see how they hold up.
