EDIT from 04/05/19: ON. do. I bought it on March 3rd. It is now April 5th as I write this. I used a little over half of the container and have to throw the rest away because it has gone rancid. Facts: According to the label, store in a cool and dry place. I live in Northeast Illinois and it couldn't get much colder or drier considering we had Chiberia in the -40s for several days this winter; My apartment has never been above 60 degrees because we have baseboard heating and my kitchen is the farthest from the heating. So I placed the container on the shelf of my chopping block. I checked the temp in there today - it's about 34 degrees outside, about 55 on the shelf. I'd say it's a cool pace right? Now forward. The stamp on the bottom says expiry date 12/20, production 12/18. (Batch #0000926865) so this is not an old container that has sat for a while. ON, how do you test the shelf life of this product? At what temperature do you recommend storing it? I think the label should say "refrigerate upon receipt". Are oils added to this product or are natural vegetable oils so brittle that "cool, dry" is not suitable for storage? What quality control do you use in your mfg facilities to ensure your vegetable grains are stored at low temperatures? Where do you buy grain/flour and at what temperature is it stored? I don't want a return, I don't want an exchange. I will never use this product again, which I thought would be the answer to my long search for non-animal protein and I absolutely cannot and will not recommend it to anyone. I used ON Gold. Serum for years and I'm disgusted with it. Please see this as it may be the answer to many other people's needs, but not if they have to throw away half the container. I have been using ON Gold Whey for many years so I was very happy to find a plant based protein made by such a great company! I bought chocolate and was happy to receive it yesterday. BUT. Stevia is overwhelming and leaves the same metallic taste in the mouth as aspartame, which is very strange. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE reduce the amount of sweetener. I want to add fruit for a protein/vitamin/mineral/carb boost, but it's way too sweet. Why does such a fantastic product need so much sweetener? Maybe make a savory version? Otherwise this product would be a dream! The price is perfect, first class delivery. Almost triple.
