Review on BOSS Audio MCBK425BA Motorcycle Speaker System: 2 Weatherproof 3 Inch Speakers with Built-in Amplifier for ATVs, Motorcycles, and 12 Volt Vehicles by Pete Norris

I really, really liked her. Setup was easy (I also wanted to redo the wiring for aesthetic reasons, but so far it's worked), and the volume was surprisingly adequate. As other reviews say, it dampens (I say) 70, so not for the highway but around town. Pshh, you can't beat her. Volume control is a MUST. BUT, only a few months drive with these happy lives. The left speaker started to turn off randomly. I checked the connections and wiring. all is well. I tried it the next day and both worked, weird. then off again while driving, come on, cut again, repeat repeat until yesterday when I lost the speaker all together. no thud, nothing. Most likely some internal cables were cut off, hence the quality control issue. It's from an electrician. I'm not happy that checking how I'm photographing all of this now that even with the tape I put between the handlebars and clamps for extra padding, my handlebar (black) was worn and scratched. So be warned, if you have bars over 1 inch (25mm) you will need to find another solution to avoid this, but with very little room to add padding. Anyway I'm starting a claim with the insurance I bought from them and I'll update this post as soon as I see how the boss is handling my disappointment The thing is I still want the exact same product! they just weren't adjusted properly.
