First all the basics: I like the wide spacing between the sockets. I can easily install any plug without covering other outlets. Having a reset switch on the side under the bar is a godsend - with previous surge protectors my cat would always step over the switch and turn everything off. This solves this problem. The swiveling power cord is great too, so you don't have to worry about twisting it into an awkward position. You can tell APC put a lot of effort into developing this thing. But here's the important part: I'm in a place where lightning often strikes. Shortly after I bought it, lightning struck my house and burned out two of my outlets, including the one it was plugged into. Everything that was connected to this network filter was fine and is still working. My washer, cable modem, and TV in another room were unlucky. I will definitely buy more of these.
