Smaller version of this bag I live up to the fact that on my recent hikes I haven't seen any signs of rodents crawling over my gear in search of food. I think it's really odor control. So. I ordered this larger one to try and store some things in my van, haberdashery in my galley to prevent any mouse infestations. Having had it for several months now and having taken several trips, there has been no mouse infestation so far. I am currently using a friend's van and she has had mouse issues in several areas of the desert we travel to. No problem so far as using these dry food storage bags would be both risky and attractive to these little critters. No evidence they even visited.
