Review on πŸ“” Travelogue Artist Watercolor Journal - Large Landscape Size, High-Quality 95lb/200gsm Paper by Kelsey Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love this sketchbook - I have three of them

Update: I still love this sketchbook. I either prewet my pages or don't wet them and it all holds up well. I use the lighter weight of the two options. I work with other watercolor books (twisted, glued and bound) and still prefer this particular brand of book. I do not know why. I think I prefer the lack of bleeds and that it can handle all the digging I've done with so much layered media. I've completed two full sketchbooks, a large square and an 8x5, and I love both. I plan to continue buying them in the future. I do a lot of mediums in sketchbooks and this is where I felt comfortable with the size, weight and smoothness of the paper I finished the entire sketchbook on. I bought this in 2014 and am rewatching it now because I was looking through old sketchbooks. This is one of the few that I've enjoyed working in because it lays flat and I could easily create two panels or just one side. The pages warped in places I couldn't stand my watercolors. I'm mad at myself for having so many unfinished sketchbooks, but this is one that I can buy more of because I know I can do whatever I want in it. The attached images show the use of ink, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, acrylic ink, ink, marker and pencil. I use it at home so all I can say is that it survived in my backpack.
