I bought these hoping they would be a viable alternative to my Toddy Cold Brew System. These filters are not very good and the product description is misleading. The opening to the filter is not "very wide", filling with ground coffee from the coffee grinder cup is actually not easy. The lace isn't "thick", it's like dental floss and difficult to tie. This filter is said to hold 1lb of ground coffee, good luck. I could hardly relate it to the 12 ounces of coffee in it. Finally, this filter just doesn't fit Toddy's cold brew system. The 12 ounces of coffee in this filter creates a sort of coffee sausage that floats (and yes, I oversaturated the grind), resulting in a weaker brewed coffee. I'm sure these filters are much better suited for spherical jars and smaller containers, but wouldn't recommend them for larger capacity systems.
