Works well; Easy install on my 1000 gallon concrete septic tank. Attach four strips of butyl rubber from a 1/8 x 1 x 30 foot roll of Colormetrics Gray Putty Tapy/Butyl Tape (one roll) to water and gas tight the tar and tank joint and 1-1/4 inch bends to the mechanical attachment of TAR to the tank. Another strip of butyl rubber around the flange holding the riser and a few more stainless steel screws between the riser and the TAR complete the installation of the riser to the TAR. Just a note - a TON of packing tape on and around the TAR I received. The butyl rubber seals between the tank and the flange, but the tape doesn't maintain its bond to the flange, meaning you can't just stick butyl tape on top of it. and expect permanent compaction. It took 15 minutes to pick up and scrape all of this debris off the bottom of the TAR.
