Markers are worth the money. All the gold markets I have received have worked. I say markers because they are. These are not crayons. They write like a standard sharpie gold marker. They're not precise, so don't expect micro-detailed work. The ink is metallic and shiny, but you don't get the richness of color that paint would give because the ink soaks into the writing surface. The decorations we made have gold paint for the border and lettering is done with markers. Overall I am still very satisfied with their work.
