Review on ๐Ÿ‘“ Voxkin Virtual Reality Headset 3D VR Glasses: High Definition Lens, Adjustable Strap, Perfect for iPhone, Samsung & More (3.5" to 6.5") by Sean Bouchard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable to wear and many adjustment options for a great VR experience.

*Very satisfied. Full bottom view Pros: - Lens depth adjustment gears and guides are loose - On heavy phones it can be difficult to keep the set depth by looking around - Small metal contacts (for magnetic attachment) on the detachable faceplate fall off easily - Slots can be glued on for ledges to prevent this. The hinge pin on the front panel can sometimes fall out. Full Review: As a disclaimer, this is my first purchase of a VR headset. Wasn't expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. In general it seems cheap in some places as some parts don't fit together perfectly, but that doesn't affect functionality. I like the adjustment options, the stable headband and the pleasant weight of the headset. The padding around the edges where you rest your face is of good quality and comfortable. The width and depth of the lenses are easily adjusted to suit your eyes and the lenses themselves are of good quality. The front flap stays closed magnetically and has a removable front panel that also attaches magnetically. Removing the faceplate allows for better cooling of your phone/device, which I like. Another thing I've tried is wearing prescription glasses while using the headset. With thick plastic frames this was doable but not very comfortable, but with thin wire-frame glasses I had no problem adjusting the headset to be comfortable. I was worried the shock would break, so I put a small strip of tape where it met the frame of the goggles. Now something I didn't like. The gears and guides that move the phone tray back and forth for depth adjustment do not resist accidental adjustments when the tray is pushed or pulled out. When fully extended to its maximum depth, it's easy to simply slide the front tray back to its original position until it stops. While I personally haven't had to adjust the depth, this can be an issue for those that need this adjustment. With a removable faceplate, small pieces of metal that come in contact with magnets can fall out of their slots, so I recommend gluing them in place. Hinge pin securing hinge plate may fall out. The hinge pin has an end with a larger diameter and a rough texture that is supposed to hold the pin in the hinge with friction, but that doesn't seem to work, so I recommend carefully gluing that end. In the end, after a few days of use, I am very happy with this headset. I've used Google Cardboard and the AAA VR Cinema App with great results. It's so great that there's such a quality entry-level VR headset at this price point. I've considered Cardboard and other similar products in this price range, but this Voxkin VR headset is the clear winner. I therefore recommend that you record this ending carefully.
