Review on Topeak Beam Rack Bicycle Type Sports & Fitness in Cycling by Henry Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I was going to love this bike rack but I feel like I just like .

I would love to love this bike rack but I have a feeling I like it. It held the weight I put on it. I really like the different attachments at the end that allow you to attach lights in different configurations. My biggest problem is that I don't think he has enough grip on the seatpost. I'm not sure if this is just an inherent flaw of all these rack clamps or not. Every time I bump the kickstand while getting up or taking it off, or when I tilt the bike and the kickstand bumps into something, it seems to rock back and forth, which worries me. Otherwise I liked the shelf. I have not tried built in straps and have always used bungee cords. Pros: It seems very well made and I feel like it can handle more weight than they say like interchangeable tips for attaching a reflector or light. Built in straps which can be ok if you don't have anything to tie with - there are various rubber pads that attach to different size seatposts. Cons - I think it could have hugged the seatpost better. I don't know how, but I wish it were

Pros

Cons
  • The list will be long.
