Worth buying on lighting and ceiling fans

Bought when on sale, great purchase so far. Disconnect the power from the switch, figure out which wire goes to the fan and which goes to the light. You need a neutral wire. The only one, and I'm not sure if others have the same problem, but when I turn on the third stage fan, it turns off. So I'm thinking it's a safety issue or something to prevent a short circuit, but other than that it's a good switch as a cheaper alternative to another more expensive switch. If you don't have a dedicated lighting cable and fan cable, there is a workaround that works.
