As soon as I took this filter out of the box and placed it next to the OEM filter, the difference became clear. As soon as I took this filter out of the box and placed it next to the OEM filter, the difference became apparent. The Fram filter had 28 plates versus the OEM's 51. With so much less filter media it's no wonder they can charge less and at this point I doubt it will last as long as an OEM filter or pass the same airflow. This is just my opinion based on what can be seen when installing two side by side.
