I have recently started a new job working with people in different time zones. I've been frustrated with Zoom talking to friends in different time zones, but I never considered buying a ring light until my new job called for a "professional headshot." The lighting in my room is really bad for selfies, as you can see in the photo before (selfie taken with iPhone 12 Pro Max without ring light). Too much light when making phone calls and too dark at night (not shown). I saw MSNBC and a reporter mentioned a ring light that made me buy it. It was the best purchase ever. I ordered it because I was asked to submit a professional portrait photo and I wanted better lighting as it should have appeared on the agency's website. Now I use it privately too. No cons yet as it's only been a few days. I leave the light unplugged when not in use.
