Review on Stylish and Practical: Speck Products SmartShell 🔴 Case in Poppy Red for MacBook Air 11-Inch by Dan West

I have to rate this thing negative. The second star is just for the aesthetics and the fact that I've had Speck cases in the past which I've really liked. I bought it for a new 13" MacBook Air. patient and not inclined to force things. I wish I'd checked the instructions, but for some reason I didn't. either way, the tiny flanges that the Holding bottom at the back corners began to discolor and basically just "cracked". After disassembly and inspection, I found that all four corners had stress cracks. The more disturbing fact is that the material will flex with a light touch or wobbling near those cracks basically just unravels and rips off in my fingers. Now could it be that the thing was just too tight? I don't know, but IMHO a product meant to protect something shouldn't be that finicky or fragile .I will be returning this and looking for another product or solution.
