Review on πŸš‚ Exploring the North: A Journey with Rio Grande Games' Northern Pacific by Diana Owens

Excellent easy train game, very mean

Oh my god this game is so much fun. Especially with a lot of players. Very simple moves: either build a track section by upgrading the ONLY Northern Pacific Railroad, or invest by taking a cube of your color and placing it in this city. When the train reaches a city where you had an investment die, it brings back your die plus a new one. Invest them again. What did you ask? What if the train doesn't go through the city you invested in? Ouch. I'm sorry my friend Very bad for you! And I'll make sure he doesn't go through your town. Rounds often lead to these nasty dead ends. You lay this path and I will send this train straight from the city you need. but if you don't pave the way, I'll invest in the same city as you, so I'll get paid too. Love it. Lots of chatter and snipers and no one can get too excited about it because once you start it's almost game over. Once the train reaches the west coast, count the good/bad investments, wipe the board, and repeat the process two more times. Even with higher values, the player thinks it's over in 40 minutes. This is a great game for any collection. if 20-30 i say buy buy buy.
