I am (by no means) a professional confectioner; However, I love to bake. Every year my mom wants chocolate truffles for her birthday, and while truffles are easy to make without any special equipment, they are very tiring. You know how. Prepare the ganache, roll out the ganache, cover the truffle with it. Cooking them on a large scale takes a very long time. I decided to switch to these candy molds and by god they save a lot of time! I bought two packs - four in total. I used the candy mass as a shell (who has time to temper the chocolate?) and filled each mold with the coconut kiss chocolate ganache mixture. The method of filling is quite simple - there are several instructional videos on the Internet on how to make chocolate using molds. The candies popped right out and looked AMAZING! They even come with little foil wrappers if you want to take it a step further! For sizing reference, they're slightly smaller than Reese's mini mug - such perfect, poppy pieces. They smelled a little "plastic" when I received them, but I soaked the molds in warm, soapy water and the smell went away. Also, once dry, I recommend storing them folded in a large plastic bag, as silicone attracts a lot of dirt if left unattended.
