My '99 Silverado 5.3 doesn't have heated mirrors so I could have saved a few bucks if I had a regular Jane but I wanted the cracked one mirror is gone., and this is the one i found with a good price. However, it is an exact copy of the original. The back seemed to be loosening a bit around the edges but then I looked at the originals and they look the same. The view is clear and not distorted. The old one is easily removed with a large screwdriver or whatever you put in it to remove the round clip. Then just line it up and slide the new one on with your palm. It doesn't click or feel like it should be good, but it should be. I've done 2 on different GM trucks in the last few months and both seemed to fall off right away. Neither, and they hold on. It's TOO cheap to pass up if you have a broken mirror. Even with the power off or the heater broken, you could run it manually if you had an undamaged case.
