2 YEARS UPDATE (6/2017). It has sweat stains which is a bit annoying but whatever it was I didn't have a profile so what should I expect? I've had 2 surgeries this month so I'm in bed A LOT now and unfortunately this mattress topper isn't that comfortable anymore. My back hurts, my hips hurt. and now I'm thinking about maybe switching to a 3" (the 4" has questionable reviews for being too soft). I'd happily exchange it as it's under warranty but I know it probably won't live up to the mark and that's a shame. Again, it's not a bad topper - especially considering the huge price drop it's received since I first bought it - but it's just not a topper for me anymore. I hope the 3 inches are better. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had the 2.5" LUCID memory foam topper for the double bed and loved it. I recently moved out of my one bedroom apartment so I could get my full size bed back. While I was happy to have my old bed back, I was sad to lose this memory foam pad. This time I went for 2" from LUCID to save some money. The size. I had no problems with my travel bag. The smell also went away very quickly, I don't even remember noticing it the first night I prefer the 2.5" bamboo coated case to the 2" case BUT the 2" case is amazing. I sleep much better than without it. The 2.5" was a bit more robust , but you drowned in it anyway. I like it better than snuggling up to him. When I sleep on my stomach I don't even need a pillow with it. I can't imagine sleeping without one of those gel filled memory foam topper. Highly recommend getting one. Also, a note on "cooling". Effect or something - something else. This mattress topper is not an ice pack. It will not lower the temperature of your bed. No mattress topper can do that. However, this will prevent your bed from heating up. Memory foam toppers sometimes have a problem when they cause overheating in bed, these don't have that problem. That's what this whole cooling thing is for, so you don't overheat.
