Tooked a chance. Well I know better. There are still good FM radio stations in Austin, some stations don't have much power and need to be tuned well for good reception. The factory antenna worked great, but one day it was gone. The smaller ones offer a little more protection from car wash damage, but the trade-off can be poor signal gain. My guess is that the element in the antenna is shorter than the OEM antenna. Not calibrated to 100MHz which is roughly in the middle of the VHF band. Better than no antenna, but not much better. I even sharpened the threads on the threaded bushing a bit to make better contact. Looks good but skip this if you're still listening to FM.
