Review on Janome Blue Tip Needles - Perfect for All Janome Sewing Machine Models by Doris Tran

A packet of these needles came with my new Janome but I haven't used them in over a year as I already had some really good sewing machine needles that I use with my old Vikings. I recently tried one of the Janome Blue Tip needles to hem a pair of blue jeans because my "really good" needles didn't work at all. The blue tips were the answer to going through the side seams where 5-6 layers of denim had to be sewn. I was amazed that my #11 needle didn't break, even though I sewed the seams more slowly and carefully. I'm not saying you should try this at home on a regular basis — Janome also has thicker denim (or denim) needles. I'm just saying sew these blue tips like you're sewing "through butter". (sorry, can't think of a better analogy) I have purchased other items from Ken in the past and have always received great service.
