I've had similar salt and pepper shakers and when it came to cleaning it was a nightmare to open. However, I have found these salt and pepper shakers to be really easy to clean. I've also found that whether I use regular salt or pink salt, the salt grinder grinds it to the perfect size and doesn't let much come out. It's the same with the pepper mill: as soon as I stop turning, no more salt and pepper come out. The wood grain on this one is really pretty and I love how dark it looks. What I love about this salt and pepper grinder is that it comes with a stand that allows me to reattach them so if one of them trembles it falls on the stand rather than my entire counter. It also came with a spoon which also made filling easier. I love their looks and ease of use.
