I wanted to use a wider weight for my new mofi turntable and this one fits just right. The hole is just the right size and the weight feels well made. Also feels good in the hand. Judging from other reviews if the buyer will hear the difference should depend on your player and system. My system is quite revealing and the sonic differences were significant. Improved bass response and reduced hiss are the most obvious improvements, but the details are also so evident now that I've noticed that LPs I've had with me since I was 13 are wearing unevenly: songs I've played over and over, use up more than others. . . It doesn't have any sound deadening material like my TT supplier's weights, but for the price difference I can live with that.
