This is a very well made LP stabilizer; looks good, has a nice weight and fits perfectly on my fluance rt 85 turntable. Well, if you're an "audiophile" and buy every device available, do so. Will it improve the sound of my LP? Well, that definitely can be. It's hard to say, but I think so. It definitely flattens out the LP and that's what it's supposed to do. While it doesn't do anything, it looks very cool and makes you feel like an "audiophile". So just get it already

Great if you have a few distorted albums at home, great if you play your recordings loud and want stable recordings. Does it improve the quality or tone of your album? Not at all. Great little trick for audiophiles. I won't be returning it because I go through all my old albums and it might come in handy for mangled albums. Not necessarily if you ask me. 4 stars because it kept what it promised. It sits well on the spindle. Don't buy it if you think it will improve your sound.

I have a very quiet Pro-Ject RPM 3 belt drive turntable but I really noticed a difference when using this stabilizing weight in combination with my silicone disc mat. One thing I've noticed is that when playing some of my older records that are "slightly" distorted, this combination eliminates any characteristic thumps I felt without a stabilizer. I'm not sure why so many of these loads or clamps or whatever you call them are SO expensive. Honestly even 25-30 dollars seems high but it's not too much. It's exactly what I was hoping for - some of the super cheap ones seemed too light to be effective, but this one at around 1lb provides enough holding pressure on the disc without the timing of the belt drive. The Record Happy weight/clamp is very well made and has an understated look. It appears discreetly on the player while playing vinyl records. I also like the minimal amount of "bling" if you will, the font at the top is small and I think it adds a nice touch to the design without being overbearing. This record weight is a godsend, as soon as I received it in the mail I started using it and it was amazing I felt the difference straight away I don't know how I like that lasted a long time without one.
