I have a very quiet Pro-Ject RPM 3 belt drive turntable but I really noticed a difference when using this stabilizing weight in combination with my silicone disc mat. One thing I've noticed is that when playing some of my older records that are "slightly" distorted, this combination eliminates any characteristic thumps I felt without a stabilizer. I'm not saying this will fix warped disks by any means, but if you have slightly warped disks it might help. The quality of the product is very good and it looks great on my turntable when not in use. I believe this is an affordable option for those looking for a stabilizer but don't want to spend a ridiculous amount. It's anodized machined aluminum and should last forever. I am very happy with this purchase.
