Over the past 10 years I have tried many other types of medical tape when using a pump and CGM. Some didn't last at all. Some will fall before 24 hours have passed. Some stayed a few days. Some of them gave me bad outbursts. I found this Flexifix tape and fell in love. I returned to find out more. I ordered my last roll in April or May and finally needed a repeat order. Every time I change the position of my insulin pump and every time I change the CGM, I use a little. It stays on the IV set or transducer for life (3 days, 1 week) and I have to take it off because it's still there. During the summer months or when I'm in a lot of water I put Mastizol underneath and it works great. The top layer of sheer mesh (which comes off after sticking) is great so you can cut to size in a straight line. For my IV set, I use 4 pieces 2 mesh wide (2" total length) and wrap them around all 4 sides of the IV set. For my glucose sensor, I cut three pieces 2 mesh wide and wrap them around the top of the sensor, around it to secure as there isn't much tape on the sensor.Then I put a small piece with 3-4 grid marks back under where I want my transmitter to be so the transmitter doesn't irritate my skin.Then I cut 2 longer pieces and put one on top of the sensor and the other on the back of the transmitter. I don't cover it completely as I've noticed in the past when I was sweating underneath and it had nowhere to go and the tape could fall off. Interesting this is one of the Problems others have complained about I swim, shower, jacuzzi etc with this band and you will never have a problem I have very sensitive skin and have relied on other products from this company acts, but I don't react to this tape at all.
