I did hold it 6-8 inches away from the wall as per instructions but certain areas became splotchy-when I tried to spray over an uneven spot it just became darker. I found a screen that I loved to hide our trash cans, but I hated that it was black. This spray paint was the perfect shade of teal. It went on evenly and there is still about a third of a can left after covering the screen on both the front and back. Great value for the price (I bought the six pack) and I love how it looks.

I use this product as a top coat on my painted rocks. Works great. Keeps the paint protected from the outdoor elements. The gloss adds a nice shine to the rocks. I've also used their matte and that works great too.
