Review on πŸ“² Lukkahh Wireless Car Charger Mount: Fast Qi Charging & Auto-Clamping Phone Holder for iPhone/Samsung (Jet Black) by Chad Judex

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works with no issues, very stable, charges with GPS

Preface: In order to get the full speed of wireless charging of any device, you need to make sure that you provide enough power to start with OK . The USB ports in my car only put out 0.5A, which isn't enough to charge a phone with active Bluetooth, working GPS, and the screen on. An adapter in a 12V outlet will provide significantly better results. I received my product, installed it and took it for a test drive. With my high brightness screen, Bluetooth active and music in my car and Google Maps taking me nowhere, this device was still able to charge my Galaxy Note 10+. Fast charge? No, but 10W wireless charging at best with all these active features doesn't charge anything quickly, let alone drain the battery constantly. But the test showed that the device is able to support and charge my device on a long drive, which is one of the main reasons why you want to charge your phone in the car for a long time. However, it fits my Note 10+ with a case, no problem. If the phone were a bit bigger or the case a bit wider it might not fit, but there aren't many phones larger than the Note 10+ so anything smaller should fit easily. And yes, it costs with the case. A very thick case or a case without a flat back will most likely not charge from a wireless pad, including this one. With my phone on the unit and clamped in place after I put it in position and tightened the locking device, the back was very solid. Didn't move, didn't hold phone free, and didn't change tilt orientation. If I hit a big enough punch with enough force, I expect it to slide off at an angle, but not drop my phone. Inserting the phone is very easy and fast. Removing it from the device by tapping on the back is also very good. If you want to use the GPS on the side instead of like I do, I would suggest rotating it after you install it. The device itself isn't very heavy, but with the phone in it and at a distance it is. from the air vent of the car, that is, the air vent is forced to face down. This happens with almost every clip, even if it's directly opposite the vent. Not a downside, just a reality when your phone is tied to something that needs to bounce up and down naturally. With my setup, I got the full 10W output that my phone is capable of. The timing was the same as my old 10 watt charging pad at home. If you have an iPhone product and its power is limited to 7.5W, you may not be able to maintain long-term GPS, high screen brightness and Bluetooth connection while maintaining a positive charge. However, if you can't get a positive charge, you can easily maintain a neutral charge, or a very, very slow decay.

Pros
  • Air vent Phone mount
Cons
  • Expensive
