It comes with an LED light bulb plug. The slide holder is spring loaded and very simple.
I love the product and I think my son will love it. My only annoyance with all of this is that they haven't created a good reason for parents to keep their investment going. Without a good case, it's very difficult to keep organized with just the styrofoam included in the kit. I would tell the company that you make such a good product, don't go cheap even if you have to raise the price send the case along!
