Because there are many screw holes in the mounting brackets on these speakers it was easy to replace the 31 year old factory speakers in the dash of my 1991 3. / 4-ton Silverado pickup truck. The driver's side speakers installed very quickly, but as other reviewers have pointed out, the magnets on the kicker speakers are larger than the factory ones (which is a good thing). However, the plastic of the air vent on the passenger-side dashboard prevented the speaker from installing properly on the dashboard. I applied some heat from the heat gun on low and pressed the speaker into place while the plastic was still warm. Everything looks and sounds great. I'm tempted to swap out the speakers in the C-pillars but I realize it's quite an ordeal with the rear seat to be removed and lots of 31 year old brittle plastic trim. Anyway, now I can enjoy the radio while hauling loads in an old pickup truck.
