If there was a way to use this with a standard bluetooth remote the product would get 5 stars. The fact that you need an app to connect to Alexa is one thing, but a) I don't use Alexa or Google Voice and b) this app drains my phone's battery badly. Add this to youtube, youtube music and other various used apps that require GPS, it will suck your phone dry so keep that in mind. Adhesion says 3M, 1 strip already falls off, another whole strip of adhesive came off along with peeling off the 3M tape. When installing, be careful not to pull all the tape out of the bulbs themselves. Also, these bulbs aren't RGB addressable, meaning you don't get a "rainbow wave" effect, just solid colors. That's all I want, but some might be disappointed. These lights also get quite warm. I have them under my desk at the end of the table, glowing/facing down, and they keep my feet warm - something to consider for PC gamers looking to keep heat out of their system.
