At that rpm with no load in cruise control it's noticeable and uncomfortable. Accelerate a little or more and the hum is very annoying and indeed does hurts in my ears I can try the 3" longer version of 11225 to see if it sounds less apart from the hum which is very unacceptable to me, they sound great. Just note that the sounds of different cars vary. To me it is one star, for others it is another, hence the two stars for this review.
