I bought this unit on better days from the Revain sale. This particular device was the latest in the manufacturer's lineup, but it seemed to have features that interested me. I used to debate buying these cameras because the reviews were too mixed for me to make a purchase. This one seemed good to me, although I didn't recognize the manufacturer it looked good, especially for the price. night or two waiting to see stills and video, the only way I see them at all is if the previous night of device setup I did a full factory reset and formatted the card in the device. Otherwise I get nothing. Mind you, I place the device in my yard, which is a vegetable garden, and every night I get activity from expensive rabbits and the occasional dog. If I reset everything the night before, as described above, I invariably get multiple hits. But when I pull out the card, take a picture and look at the pictures on my PC, even if there is enough space on the card, it's a Scandisk 32 megapixel card, bought relatively recently, no pictures. Zero. Nothing at all. Another minor issue is that the video files on the device are so old that my Wind 10 Professional PC doesn't even recognize them. Regardless of whether I use these MOV files or MP4 files on the device, I have to drag and drop the files into a digital media editor like da Vinci and display the information again in a readable format. I've tried contacting the company to see if there's a way to update the firmware to at least fix the problem with the file. Crickets, I didn't hear anything, I don't know how much longer I can take all this because every factory reset requires me to go back to the menu and reset all settings every time. It's new now, but I don't know how long it will last. I want this to work properly. In any case, that is my experience. Update: I've finally decided to replace my SD card. I didn't really see anything wrong with the current SD card, but I've had several additional SD cards, newer and better quality. I pasted it, reformatted it and had better success and consistency with the device's write files. Understand that these are not high quality images. Even on the best infrared night settings, they look spooky, but you can see them. So if you're looking for crystal clear images in the camera day and night, night images will likely disappoint. I emailed technical service again and received absolutely nothing. Don't expect any company to answer service-related questions. In my experience, you are completely on your own when buying this device. My star rating has changed from 12 to 3. This is a middle-of-the-road night camera at best. Actually pretty good pics and videos for the day for the price.
