This cotton candy maker works great, easy to set up with instructions and then allow 10 minutes to heat up, this is important as it needs to be hot at the moment of frosting. After it warms up for 10 minutes, turn it off, let the spinner come to a complete stop, and then pour in 1 scoop of your cotton candy, the scoop comes with the machine. Or use 2 lollipops, I feel floss works better and tastes better. Then give him a few minutes to make the cotton candy and keep twisting the plastic tube to collect the cotton candy, see my picture, I made it in a few minutes! - It was a full size for 1 plastic measuring spoon, which is enough for both a child and an adult. I will say that the first machine I bought didn't work, it rattled and the sugar didn't melt at all. Customer service was fantastic as they sent me a new machine for free. On recommendation I sent back the previous damaged machine which I had. Overall a great machine perfect for a small group of kids! Love it.
