Don't use too much lube

This is a really great kit for beginners or those who want to try polygel before buying better/branded materials. Tips after trying them for the first time: Make sure your double shapes are a little LARGER than perfect fit for your nail, trust me this will help. - Please ensure you have properly prepped the nail/removed dead skin from cuticles and buffed nails to a high shine before beginning. (Be sure to wipe with alcohol after dusting) - ALSO, using a pH bond/primer before applying the base coat really helps to remove any oils from the nail. - Wipe off sticky nails after curing. base cover. DO NOT USE TOO MUCH SOLUTION. I used wayyy too much because it made the mold easier, but it breaks down the acrylic compound too much and removes the thick structure of the product. It leaked out on the sides as I was just trying to hold the nail until it set and it didn't really stay on my nail bed until I set it, it would pull up and slide off causing some to snag my nails were peeling off. After hardening there are air bubbles underneath. Air bubbles = break/rise next day. In fact, brush the container honestly 3-4 times to remove the slip/alcohol solution before proceeding with the product and shaping it. Only when the grout really sticks to the brush should you reach for more. As cool and (almost) finished as the nail is when you do the double shaping, I still highly recommend buffing and shaping the nail a bit, mainly on the sidewalls and cuticle area, as it will really help your nail to look much more finished .before you apply the top coat. (Just remember to clean the surface with a lint free cloth and alcohol before using the top coat.) ***If anyone has any suggestions on how to easily remove them I'd love to know. There are two different types of polygel: sawing and soaking. It didn't seem to want to soak in, although I used Efile to peel off the top layer and soak it in 100% pure acetone in a bowl with a towel covering my hands and the bowl. I'm also not sure if the soft acrylic won't cover my hand files and electronic files when shaping/erasing anyway. This tends to mess up your manual file so I would use a very cheap one to shape/erase. Cons: The light is dim, it would have been worth getting the kit without the light and just buying the 45w light separately from Revain. .Advantages. With practice, it can be a lot easier and more enjoyable than the dip powders/sns I used to use.

  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
