In the past, all the new sheets we bought felt stiff against the skin until they were washed, until they were almost worn out and needed replacing. We bought brand new family bedding a few weeks ago and were very impressed with how soft and smooth it felt straight out of the box. Of course we were wondering how they would feel after a few washes and we are very impressed with the quality of these items. We bought king and double sizes but didn't consider that double sets come with small pillowcases and we all had king size pillows. Family members who sleep in bunk beds refused to use any of the old pillowcases that matched the pillows because the Mellannies felt so good! Imagine a standard pillowcase on a royal pillow! This is why we bought these extra pillowcases to match the sheets we had previously bought and everyone is completely satisfied with this product.
