I bought a LifeStraw Flex to prepare for a recent trip into the TN/NC countryside. Walked 26.2 miles on the Appalachian Trail. I didn't want to carry around a large bladder so I got a flexible one. Pros: - super light - takes up very little space in each pack - decent volume per bottle - great price - seen many, many Lifestraw products being used on the AT. Therefore, they are clearly trusted. Flexibility in using straws. Cons: Squeezing water out of a bottle to fill other people's bottles can be a problem. This is the perfect device to fill that need. Not wanting to drink from the same bottle, we decided to use a straw to fill and refill the bottle and squeeze the filtered water into our own bottles. It works and it also takes time. At least for me you have to press pretty hard (probably too hard)
