Buying new everyday scissors (as opposed to specialty scissors for kitchen, fabric, etc.) is actually not what you ever thought it would be. My pair that I had for years were getting very bored and the handles were failing so I settled on this pair. You were great. They arrived very sharp - the first thing I needed them for was cutting contact paper and they slipped right through. I've used them on fabric and they work just as well as regular scissors. They are still solid and I had no trouble bending or loosening the buttons.
